Therapy Services
Individual TherapyIndividual therapy (also called “psychotherapy” or “counseling”) is a process through which clients work one-to-one with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.
Whether you are coping with major life challenges, dealing with depression or anxiety, to simply desiring personal growth and greater self-knowledge, our personal care can guide you through. We use evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Both you and your therapist monitor treatment goals along the way. Contact us to see if we are a good fit for you. |
Family TherapyFamily therapy is a type of counseling, or psychotherapy, that helps family members improve communication and resolve conflicts in non-judgemental ways. Family therapy is often short term. It may include all family members or just those able or willing to participate. Your specific treatment plan will depend on your family's situation. Family therapy sessions can teach you skills to deepen family connections and get through stressful times, even after you're done going to therapy sessions.
Family therapy may address specific issues that affect the psychological health of the family, such as major life transitions or mental health conditions. It may be used as the primary mode of treatment or as a complementary approach to other therapies. It may help with chronic illness or everyday concerns, like communication breakdown within the context of the family, interpersonal conflict, or behavioral problems in children and adolescents. We build a program based on your goals and revisit goals and progress regularly. |
Couples TherapyCouples therapy, also called marriage counseling is a type of psychotherapy. Marriage counseling helps couples of all types recognize and resolve conflicts and improve their relationships. Through marriage counseling, you can make thoughtful decisions about rebuilding your relationship or going your separate ways.
Our goals for couples are to help you recognize non-productive communication, increase respect and affection, and create an elevated sense of understanding within the context of the relationship. This might be achieved through creating shared meaning, understanding trust and commitment, and, managing conflict. We are happy to support you along this road. |
